Guided by WindRose & Lauren Woodcraft/Fiber Arts
Simple age appropriate woodcraft or fiber art projects that allow children to explore the joy of making things with their hands. WindRose will guide this class. Caution: Use of knives and wood carving tools story exploration
Age appropriate exploration of stories, writing, re-imaginings, plot and more. We meet weekly to discuss plot points, character development, themes, literary devices, etc as well as to share our favorite aspects of the book. Lauren will guide this literary journey. Science Club
Through age-appropriate hands-on experiments, the children will learn about the scientific method. All experiments will be done without the use of harmful chemicals and in a safe environment. Classes will focus on chemistry experiments and natural sciences. These exciting sessions will be lead by Isabel Council Meetings
Our Council meetings help us govern our community, these happen, as and when needed. It is a time to sort out the running of our learning community; an opportunity to bring up any issues that need attention, problems shared are problems solved. All children help to create our rules and guidelines, and help enforce them. Democracy in action. Guided by the group & mentors. TAsks & Tidying
Each person in our community agrees to take on certain house keeping tasks, like emptying the compost bins, being the fire keeper or the go-fer. We all share the responsibility of keeping our space clean and neat. Seasonal Activities & Games
The whole community participates in games and fun outside seasonal activities, that connect us to nature and to each other ( at a safe distance). Led by Isabel & WindRose |

Our children are faced with many challenges during this pandemic. Many have been struggling with keeping up with their academic studies, and finding the remote learning difficult. This time is set aside for them to take on an independent study and develop good study skills in a area that interests them. They will have the opportunity to work with Lauren. TAsks & Tidying
